Air Circuit Breakers – E-max

These can be used both as circuit-breakers for general protection (of plants, of user complexes, of electric lines) and as protection circuit-breakers of electrical machines (generators, motors, transformers, capacitors). The new series of air circuit-breakers consists of five sizes (E1, E2, E3, E4 and E6) in the fixed and withdraw able versions, with rated uninterrupted currents from 800 to 6300 A and breaking capacities up to 150 kA at 415 V.
Different models of circuit-breakers for each size are available, all with the same dimensions, but with various rated currents and with different breaking capacities, identified by letters, as specified in the table.
The series is completed by a range of current-limiting circuit-breakers, of different construction concept, particularly recommended in plants characterized by high short-circuit currents.
Customization of the circuit-breaker is carried out by means of a complete range of accessories - common over the whole range, which can be installed from the front of the circuit-breaker without the need for any internal cabling

Field of application:

They are used in all types of plants (civil, industrial, and in the service sector) as well as in the equipment on-board ships, in mines, in prefabricated substations, and for primary and secondary distribution in general.

Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB)

The moulded-case circuit-breakers, proposed by ABB SACE, derive from two families of apparatus: the well-known and consolidated Isomax S series and the recent but already much awarded Tmax series. In particular, Tmax are characterized by an extremely high level of performances with limited overall dimensions, installation simplicity and an increasingly greater guarantee of safety for the operator thanks to their reinforced insulation. Tmax circuit-breakers, thanks to their performances, completeness of protection releases and accessories, can be used for all distribution and sub-distribution application for both AC and DC electrical plants.

Field of application:

The moulded-case circuit-breakers are used in industrial and civil low voltage plants with service currents from 1 to 1000 A. They are used in direct and alternating current distribution switchgear, for motor protection (Motor Control Center), generators, and capacitors and for end users.

AF-Contractor Range

The new standard in motor control and power switching. Connect to Control! SME is introducing its complete AF contactor range. The AF technology is well appreciated by customers and establishes a new industry benchmark. ABB sets a new standard in motor control and power switching. Watch the video above or read how our customers experience the AF technology.

ABB has tried to compress the most important customer benefits into four value propositions. So whether you are a panel builder or a manufacturer of snow fans, you should find a value that attracts you specifically.
